We are Murata Sogo Tax & Accounting Office, a tax accounting firm specializing in inheritance and international taxation, with an office in Miyakojima-ku, Osaka City.
Recently, we have been receiving a number of cases where the tax office has pointed out foreign exchange gains on remittances from overseas to Japan during tax audits.
1. The tax office has requested that we file an amended tax return regarding the foreign exchange gains.
2. The tax office has requested an amended tax return, but the basis for the tax law is not clear.
3. The tax audit pointed out the foreign exchange gains, and the amount of additional tax payment is too large.... etc.
There is no end to the problems related to foreign exchange gains on remittances from overseas, such as the following.
The tax office may have pointed out that you may not have to pay the tax.
